Guinea pigs

I was lucky enough to be sent a copy of the Red Nose Day edition of Mollie Makes the other day and am slowly having a go at some of the projects. Made these two guinea pigs for a friend. Not sure whether to make the clothes to go with them or not...

Frog booties

I was browsing Google plus one morning and and saw a pattern for these booties. Decided to make them on a bit of a whim. Hoping they are fairly unisex- the originals had pink cheeks and so were a little girly.

Giraffe

Quite pleased the way this turned out. I kept it floppy which perhaps isn't optimal for taking photos.
Sadly he/she looks like road kill in this shot- lol!

Aeroplane

I have been meaning to do this crochet pattern for ages but only got round to it the other day. Hopefully the recipient will like it (the button on the propellor might have to be removed first to make it child friendly).

Pug

What us crocheting without a pattern called I wonder? 'Free-hooking'? My first amigurumi without a pattern. I wanted to make a thank you for someone who has a pug.
What do you think?

Grumpy cat

Knowing I like crochet and am a bit (OK a lot) grumpy at the moment someone suggested I look up knitting patterns for grumpy cat. I don't think they expected there to be any.  But trusty Ravelry had this pattern. I love him. May have to make more... :-)

Star blanket

Not made a star shaped crocheted blanket before but decided to give it a go with some lovely aran wool from Aldi (wish I had more of this wool!). Not huge but certainly ample big enough for a baby or to go over a chair/focal point for a single bed...

new stamps!

Did you see Clare's new range of Paoerarsty stamps last week? They are fab. A must buy.
This is a simple card I made with one of the images.

baby chicks

My final lot of wooly Easter items (for the meanwhile at least- I may make more nearer the time). These little chicks were very simple to make. A fab idea from a book a friend gave me at Christmas (thanks lauren ). You are meant to have all six in the same egg box but mine turned out a bit big. Thought two lots of three was better. Could always fill the other three slots with creame eggs to make an Easter gift.
These are the girls:

And these are the boys:

chicken

My second 'big' Easter project was the 'Easter eggs' pattern by Alan Dart. Like mother goose I put straws in the legs to give them shape. She even has bloomers under the dress ;-)

slipper socks

Never knitted socks or slippers before. This was a simple pattern but pleased with the results.
